To Benefit Advisory Board for Disabled, Inc
Come out and support the Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc. while enjoying a great meal on Friday, February 25, 2011 between 5pm-8pm at Eastmonte Park. Cost: $8 for adults and $6 for children ($.50 coupons available)

Proceeds from fundraiser help support the many programs the Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc. funds, including STOP Trips, Nightbird Dances, and many many more. Please spread the word to help support our programs!
 "Saturday Time Out for Parents"
STOP Trips take place one Saturday a month and are socially, physically and educationally beneficial field trips. Cost: $3 per person with lunch provided. *Feel free to send souvenir money for trips*
To Sign Up: 
You must RSVP on the designated day a week prior to the trip by phone or email. Reservations are taken in the order received. Only one message is required. Space is limited. Please send your reservation to only: 407-571-8814 or on the designated reservation day.

Friday, March 11- "Luck of the Irish" 
Themed dances are held one Friday per month from 7-9pm. Refreshments are provided. Cost is $2 per participant and $1 per companion/family member/guest.

Prizes awarded for dance contest winners, costume contest winners & birthdays! If you have a group home or a large party, please call in advance and we will reserve your group a table(s).
The Oviedo-Winter Springs Optimist Club and Oviedo Parks and Recreation now offer dancers on alternate evenings. Next dance is Friday, March 25- Shamrock Dance at Riverside Park in Oviedo. Please click here for more information.

 Westmonte Park from 7:30-8:30pm
SP- Cooking"Thursday Night Outs" are held on the 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month. They are designed to allow participants to get together and just have some fun! Events are held at Westmonte Park from 7:30-8:30pm. Cost: $1.00 with refreshments.  

*Please let us know if you will be attending the cooking class.

2011 session comes to an end


Our 2011 Special Needs Winter Camp has over 30 registered campers! Together the group enjoyed many fun and exciting trips and activities on Wednesdays in January and February.  

SP- Winter Camp Mustang 

During the month of February they made pottery and pizza, learned to play tennis and ballroom dance, visited the Kissimmee airport and sat inside a World War 2 plane, played lazer tag at Wonderworks, and had a private concert with Joe, the lead singer of Road Soda.

Every Monday Excluding Holidays 
Practice is held every Monday, excluding holidays, at the Altamonte AMF Lanes  from 3-5pm. Cost is $2 per game. Scores are recorded throughout the year and trophies are awarded at the Banquet with participant's high score.

Wednesday, March 9 & 23, 2011
SP-BellydancersOur Special Needs Belly Dancers & family members meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month to exercise & prepare for performances. Location has been changed to Eastmonte Park from 6:30-7:30pm. Cost: $1.00/person. (Practice held once a month during Jan/Feb and Jun/July)

SP- EP OfficeThe Special Community Services' office has been moved to a new building. It is still located at Eastmonte Park, but can be found in the building to the right of the park's entrance gate. The physical address is 837 Magnolia Drive.

Please make sure to turn in your 2011 Medical Form. These must be on file for participants to take part in our activities. Forms do not need a doctors signature and can be completed by the parent or guardian. They can be mailed to you or can be downloaded by clicking here.
