NIGHTBIRD DANCES

Friday, May 13- "Pirates Adventure" 
 
Themed dances are held one Friday per month from 7-9pm. Light refreshments are provided. Cost is $2 per participant and $1 per companion/family member/guest.

Prizes awarded for dance contest winners, costume contest winners & birthdays! If you have a group home or a large party, please call in advance and we will reserve your group a table(s).

 

*Please bring a canned good to support the Advisory Board's food pantry... Assisting over 80 people per month who are in need.  

 
 
NEW DANCES ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN!
The Oviedo-Winter Springs Optimist Club and Oviedo Parks and Recreation now offer dancers on alternate evenings. Next dance is Friday, April
May 27- Patriot Dance at Riverside Park in Oviedo. Please click here for more information.
  
S.T.O.P. TRIPS
 "Saturday Time Out for Parents"
STOP Trips take place one Saturday a month and are socially, physically and educationally beneficial field trips. Cost: $3 per person with lunch provided. Drop off and pick up is at Eastmonte Park. *Feel free to send souvenir money for trips.
 
To Sign Up: 
You must RSVP on the designated day a week prior to the trip by phone or email. Reservations are taken in the order received. Only one message is required. Space is limited. Please send your reservation to only: 407-571-8814 or

Held on Wednesdays: June 8, 15, 22, 29 and July 6, 13, 20, 27
 
Crafts, field trips, swimming, games, special guests & more!
Located at Eastmonte Park from 9am-4pm  
Register between May 2- June 3   Cost: $50.00   

Space is Limited. No Refunds. Limited Financial Aid.

THURSDAY NIGHT OUT 
 Westmonte Park from 7:30-8:30pm
SP- Cooking"Thursday Night Outs" are held on the 3rd and 4th Thursday of the month. They are designed to allow participants to get together and just have some fun! Events are held at Westmonte Park from 7:30-8:30pm. Cost: $1.00 with refreshments.  


*Please let us know if you will be attending the cooking class.

BOWLING PRACTICES
Every Monday Excluding Holidays 
Practice is held every Monday, excluding holidays, at the Altamonte AMF Lanes  from 3-5pm. Cost is $2 per game. Scores are recorded throughout the year and trophies are awarded at the Banquet with participant's high score.

NO BOWLING ON MAY 30- MEMORIAL DAY
 

Bowling Banquet:
 
Monday, June 13, 2011 at Eastmonte Park from 6-8pm. Cost: $6.00 per bowler & $6.00 per guest. This event will be catered. Each paid bowler will receive a trophy engraved with his or her high score! (Trophies are donated and may vary in size and style)  Payment and Reservations due by Monday, May 9. Checks can be made payable to: The Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc. Click Here for Flier 
 

Special Olympics Bowling:
 
Training scores will be collected for Special Olympics eligibility starting on Monday, June 20

BELLY DANCING PRACTICE
Wednesday, May 11 & 25, 2011
SP-BellydancersOur Special Needs Belly Dancers & family members meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month to exercise & prepare for performances. Location has been changed to Eastmonte Park from 6:30-7:30pm. Cost: $1.00/person. (Practice held once a month during Jan/Feb and Jun/July)

SPECIAL COMMUNITY SERVICES' NEW OFFICE
Same Park.. New Location
SP- EP OfficeThe Special Community Services' office has been moved to a new building. It is still located at Eastmonte Park, but can be found in the building to the right of the park's entrance gate. The physical address is 837 Magnolia Drive.

Medical Forms

Please make sure to turn in your 2011 Medical Form. These must be on file for participants to take part in our activities. Forms do not need a doctors signature and can be completed by the parent or guardian. They can be mailed to you or can be downloaded by clicking here.
