Volunteer
Counselors will help supervise a group of
individuals with special needs ages 13 and up.
Counselors need to be 16 years of age or older.
Community service hours will be signed off
for.

Party
Grab
your bathing suit and come on out to our annual
Pool Party on Friday, June 5, 2009 from 7-9pm at
Westmonte
Park, 624 Bills
Lane, Altamonte Springs, Fl 32714.
We
will be parting the night away rain or
shine - with music on
the pool deck and refreshments and seating
available indoors.
Cost has increased to
$2 per participant and $1 per companion/family
member/guest.
Prizes
awarded for dance contest winners, costume contest
winners & birthdays! If you have a group home
or a large party, please call in advance and we
will reserve your group a
table(s). |

BOWLING

Every
Monday excluding
holidays
Practice
is held every Monday, excluding holidays, from
3-5pm at the Altamonte AMF Lanes. Cost is
$1.75/game, which includes shoe
rental. Scores are recorded
throughout the year and trophies are awarded at
the Banquet announcing each participant's high
score.

bowling on Bowling Banquet day, Monday June

Special
Olympics Training Begins Monday June
22.
Scores will be recorded for those athletes who
wish to compete in Special Olympics. County Games will
be on Monday, August 24. Athletes must bowl 10
games before that date and have a SPECIAL OLYMPICS
PHYSICAL to be eligible to compete.

week workshop coming in September
2009!
USA
Dance is a national nonprofit organization that
promotes the quality and the quantity of ballroom
dancing in the United
States. (www.USADANCE.org). The Central
Florida Chapter is very enthusiastic about
reaching out to our special needs community to
teach ballroom dancing. This 12-week
workshop will be taught by a USA Dance instructor.
Students from USA Dance will be volunteering their
time as dance partners for our participants. The
goal is to introduce participants to 5 different
dances and end the workshop with a Family
Showcase. Interested
participants should contact us before August 2009
to be added to the Interest List. Official
Registration will begin in mid/late August.
