WINTER CAMP
|
|
|
One
month down.. One more to
go!
In
January, the Winter Campers enjoyed a special
visit from Mike Insley with Urban Beautification.
The campers got the opportunity to plant and take
home their very own Pentas. Following that,
Officer Dom Carbonaro and Steven Deloach brought
out their motorcycles from the Altamonte Springs
Police Department. The campers also traveled to
Lake Mary to
visit the Fire Station where they each got to
shoot the fire hose! In February, the
campers are looking forward to many great field
trips, including: Wonderworks, a tour of the
Channel 6 News Station, fishing at Lake Lotus, and a
tour of the Altamonte Springs Water Plant.
Camp is held on Wednesday from 9am-4pm at
Eastmonte Park. The
last day of camp is on February 25,
2009.
